Hiring a relative to work for a school distrct where you are a director is an awful abuse of power - call it what it is nepotisim! Thank goodness none of our current board members would dare to do such a thing!

This poll is misleading. It makes it sound as if the board member in question was promoting their family member to a position. That was not true.

Let's look at other members of the board whose family members perform jobs for the district.

To PTM:
At least four current directors are against an anti nepotism policy concerning day to day subsitute teachers. The current board majority is in favor of anti nepotism. The majority will be gone by the time this policy has a final vote. We'll see what happens. Stay tuned.

To MTR:
What board member is in question? Who has family members now? None have ever been cited. Fill us in.

That's too bad, that current directors have abused the system. I hear a board director helped to get her husband work as a photographer. Hopefully with new members coming on board there won't be any "monkey business" within our schools! - PTM

Well, once again as the Moon turns, that board member's husband already was the photographer before she was elected. Too bad how the stories spin when personal agendas get involved. And it's sad how his business suffered because of that spin. Currently one board member elect has a spouse that is a day to day substitute. Same situation. Do they stay or go? What say you?

The board member's husband was not the photographer prior to her being on the board. Get your facts straight.

Well the way I look at it both the photographer and substitute teacher should go....better to get rid of any shadow of a doubt than to be making money through our schools!
