Ranked as one of the top 10 largest air shows in the country, Wings Over Pittsburgh is the only annual air show in the Pittsburgh area. This year the event will be held Mother’s Day weekend, May 10-11, on the ramp of the Pittsburgh International Airport Air Reserve Station, located in Coraopolis, PA. This is the eighth year for the event and will commemorate the 60th Anniversary of the Air Force Reserve while also celebrating Pittsburgh’s 250th Anniversary. The two-day free event averages crowds in excess of 250,000+ with increased attendance every year. What makes Pittsburgh’s air show so unique is that it’s the only air show in the country that works in Partnership with an International Airport. Wings Over Pittsburgh is a family-friendly event with something for people of all ages. Come out and enjoy the day with Mom while learning about air power both past and present.
The Canadian “Snowbirds” will be this year’s featured Jet Team performing in Pittsburgh for the very first time. Their high precision maneuvers over the skies of Pittsburgh both days are sure to be a crowd pleaser. The show will also feature two military parachute teams: The United States Army Golden Knights Jump Team along with the United States Navy Leap Frogs Jump Team. Another first this year will be the F-22 Raptor demonstration team.
