GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare is moving marketing operations for its weight control and smoking cessation units from its headquarters in Moon to Parsippany, N.J., under a widespread reorganization that is to continue through the summer.

Nine directors at the local offices have been laid off, and while there will be other cuts, spokeswoman Malesia Dunn had no specifics Thursday. GlaxoSmithKline has about 500 local employees, the Pittsburgh Trib reports.
