From the Tribune-Review: A former resident of Coraopolis pleaded guilty in federal court in Pittsburgh to two counts of failing to file income tax returns.
Prosecutors say Kenneth C. Cowden, 56, who lived on Herbst Road before moving to Florida, was involved in a scheme to defraud lending institutions by inflating the value of properties that he used as collateral for loans.
Despite making more than $100,000 a year between 2001 and 2005, he failed to file federal income tax returns, prosecutors said.
